Logan is Hugh Jackman’s final outing as Wolverine, and he certainly saved the best until last.

Based on the Old Man Logan graphic novel series by Mark Millar, the film is set around five years after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past.

After nearly all of the world’s mutants are wiped out, we find Logan is an alcoholic limousine driver who’s finally succumbing to the symptoms of old age.

His hopes of living out the rest of his life in isolation are ruined when he’s tasked with protecting a mysterious young girl, Laura, who’s wanted by some seriously bad folk.

It’s up to Logan and Professor Xavier (Sir Patrick Stewart) to deliver Laura to safety as the fate of mutants rest on his adamantium shoulders once more.

Killer fight scenes, laugh-out-loud moments and a lot of heart makes Logan the perfect farewell to Jackman’s Wolverine. 4/5
